Incomplete.

"A pair of shoes should look good on its own, but it's incomplete until a person wears it."

While I was spring-cleaning my house, I took an extra mile to clean up all my sneakers. There were not many left as I counted one by one, and more than half were already part of my regular beaters.

But I also reckoned I have a few that I don't wear (or rarely wear) already.

I used to collect sneakers, and kept them in mint conditions, and now I just don't see it fit in my future direction. Don't mistaken my words, I still love shoes like I love cook food. I just happened to have a different take on it now. I moved on to a different style.

Memories: One-Legged Sado-Fashionist

I had a terrible accident almost four years ago.

Shattered my left tibia, among broken nose and other injuries.

My Bathing Ape x Marvel Comics "Silver Surfer" tee was covered with blood from that accident. Tried to wash it out but never perfectly cleaned so I threw it away.

Did it stop me from going out, have fun and wear something nice? Not a chance.

If you are sick, be sure to be sick in style.

Fucking Awesome's fucking awesome hoodie

You can't see actually I was sitting on an wheeled office chair, in an elevator. I still had my fibre cast on my left leg. This picture was taken on Christmas Eve 2006 in Penang. I was totally wasted and couldn't walk AT ALL.

And lastly at the Nike Air Force 1's 25th Anniversary back in 2007.

Rock you don't stop.

Weekender: Pink Puma & Pink Robot.

I'm sure many guys think pink is a dangerous colour for them to wear. They think it is associated with something un-manly. I don't know about that though, I think if you know what you're wearing, you'll nail it. Plus, don't get too discouraged by what other guys think.

Nike SB Dunk Hi Mafia "Goodfellas" (2006)

Being a male, and as other male, I started my life as a boy, then a guy, and now a man. Well, unless something completely or terribly or drastically wrong happen during the childhood phase (as a boy), you might continue as a soft guy, and end up being a woman.

That's not what I want to talk about now.

As a typical normal male, we love action-packed, violent, bloody films. Anything from war, gangsters, triads, mafia, yakuza, car-chase, gun fights, you tell me. Well, that's just a natural testosterone talking. And one of my all-time favourite film is Martin Scorsese's Goodfellas. Well I'm sure many of us have watched it. It's a mafia-based film. Serves my man's ego.

So about four years ago, two pairs of Nike SB Dunk were released in the market, named the Mafia Lo and Mafia Hi. These two pairs were nicknamed "Goodfellas", as I mentioned in the previous paragraph.

I didn't get the chance to buy it upon the release date, but I always tell myself, "good things do come by". So did the Mafia Hi.

All white patent leather upper, contrast red stitching, red reptilian swoosh. Spice.

Sado Snaps: Nike Air Flight?

Went to YOUTH'10 last weekend. Saw this fine gem, worn by ORBID, an Australian graffiti artist who came down for the event.

Air Flight High 89? No? Can somebody tell me?

The only worth posting, from thousands of crowds there.

Nike Dunk Hi QK Vintage - UNLV (2008)

I think I've mentioned a few times about Dunk Hi being nicer than Dunk Lo (except for a few designs which I can't resist from eyeing/buying). It was quite easy to decide actually, as you can see the vintage, 90's look when you wear a hi-cut sneakers, especially something like Dunk Hi.

So back in early 2008, Nike released a campaign called Nike: Be True To Your School to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Nike Dunk. These kicks have been roughed up with aged midsoles, roughed leathers as well as a few scrapes and scratches.

And to celebrate the 20th Anniversary, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur respectively) was one of the very few cities selected to be part of the celebration. I was not surprised as I see Kuala Lumpur being one of the major fashion (lifestyle/street fashion, in this case) trendsetters in the region.

So when they launched the Be True To Your School campaign, I managed to grab a pair. There were seven pairs in total for the first series, and I was thinking of grabbing the whole seven pairs but I thought, nahh it'll definitely come by, sooner or later.

Thanks to Sole What?

What made this campaign even sweeter for the hypebeasts here, was the special appearance by Dave White, a famous pop artist from United Kingdom. He made a few appearances all over KL such as at Nike Sportswear @ The Curve, Sole What? at The Garden, and lastly at the Streething "All In The Family" Event.

At Sole What?, The Garden
What made it even more awesome is that he made a live painting show on the particular pair that I bought.

Streething "All In The Family", Zouk KL

Even more more lucky when he left his signature on the shoes.

And the whole awesome thing was wrapped with a dedication to our Komodo Ninja Hype Clan:

This pair represent UNLV, which stands for University of Nevada, Las Vegas. But most sneakerheads have a nickname for this colourway, can you guess it?

No?

I'll tell you:

Now you know.

This Ultraman colourway is one of the hottest colourways for Dunks.

And after two years keeping it nicely on my display rack, I finally broke fresh on this pair.

Infinite Scope by iPhone

I personally think Dunk Hi should be kept at only two colours, or three colours tops. More than that just kills it terribly. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

Nike SB Dunk Lo "Pushead" (2005)

*First of all, the right way to pronounce the artist's name is "pus-head", not "puss-head". If you still can't differentiate it, go to Dictionary.com and listen to the audio pronounce.

Okay, you've seen the Random Sadoshots: "My name is Red", recently. This is the story.

I'm not sure I've ever told anyone that I don't like Nike SB Dunk Lo, compared to Nike SB Dunk Hi, and other models. It's not very comfortable. But the thing is, Nike SB always come out with lots of designs and collaborations, besides of course, Nike Air Max and the rest of the family. Nike SB is like a playground for artists, celebrities and brands to venture in the lifestyle-slash-streetwear scene.

That's the good part. The not-so-good part is that, there's so many designs and colours, majority of the designs are just whack. So it leaves the minority with something worth to buy, or collect. One more thing, it is designed for skateboarding, hence the cushion padding (midsole) is bulkier than other models. If we use common sense, bulkier midsole cushion padding means more comfort. It's true in a way, but it kind of presses your feet a bit too much, if you wear it for many hours.

But in life, there's always exception to something. Same goes to me with the Nike SB Dunk Lo. I do have my soft spots in few of them, and these few, are the ones that I will buy, eventually.

One of the very few

So while I was browsing some time ago, I bumped into this awesome pair, on sale by a friend. I was like, dude, this should be my first SB Dunk Lo! So I contacted him, and with a few emails and SMSes, (the pair was not in Malaysia) it finally dropped on my lap.

This pair is called Nike SB Dunk Lo "Pushead", a collaboration with a legendary graphic artist, Brian Schroeder a.k.a. Pushead. He's been the favourite in the Heavy Metal and Hardcore music industry and some of his famous clienteles would be Metallica, Misfits and Soundgarden. He's done so many artworks for magazines and brands and other artists as well. This pair was released back in 2005, so yeah you know I've been eyeing this for how many years already.

Pushead's trademarks are the skulls, evil eyes, and of course, gory. And as you can see, this is one of the worth-buying pair, as it comes with possibly the illest customised box to ever drop from Nike.

As you can see the size is US10, and it's slightly tight for me. For Nike SB Dunk Lo, you are recommended to get half size bigger if you want more comfort. I'd go for US10.5 or even US11 for Nike SB Dunk Lo.

Basketball Night: Nike Dunk Hi Vandal Premium

Nothing special this week. Same shoes by the rest. I was hoping the boys will buy something new and wear their shoes on rotation. Barulah meriah sikit.

Anyways,

Butet: Air Jordan VIII "Orange Blaze"

Yours Truly: Dunk Hi Vandal Premium

There must be at least one reason why the shoe was named "Dunk". I guess it's for dunking. Smart.

Nike SB Dunk Hi "Skunk" (2010)

I guess you have all seen the preview about the Nike SB Dunk Hi "Skunk" last week, haven't you? Well today is very much a nice moment for me, let me tell you.

Why?

This is why,

I buy what is relevant to me, or something that has a meaning to it. Well, apart from it sometimes I also buy stuff that is also beautiful, but has no meaning, like, blondes.

Today marks the day that the air is filled with joy, and we are all again, liberated.

I know I don't make sense now, and you know why...

This is why...............

4:20 all over the world Jah!
