Super Slim?

I was a little bit skeptic when it comes to wearing skinny fit trousers/jeans. I don't mind slim fitting as I'm wearing that fitting currently for quite a while. I mean, I've tried Cheap Monday skinny fit jeans before this but gosh did I look like an idiot. That was about three or four years ago. I never intended to try again after that.

But somehow after some time, I found out that my slim fitting trousers look more loose than I thought. Maybe I lost weight, maybe I don't work out much hence my muscles shrunk, maybe I don't drink enough water. I'm not sure.

So last night I went out to find some trousers for myself.

Look at that!

And for the first time, super slim is the shiznit! I'm gonna stick to that from now on.

Dockers Spring 2011 Collection

I know I have not updated anything since the last event. I was too busy with so many projects (still am) but fashion is like my second nature already.

Tonight I will resurrect.

Eco Film Fest 2010 - A Fun Thrash Fashion Competition for University Students!

Bring out the Fashion Police cause we are going to knock your fashion socks off at the Eco Film Fest 2010. Organised by Global Environment Centre (GEC) in partnership with CIMB Islamic, this fashion competition encourages university students to be creative in coming up with a fashion statement using only recycled items.

Be it plastics, paper, or even metal, this competition aims to fuse creativity and the idea of reusing items in the name of fashion. If you are a university student and would like to participate, sign up with GEC TODAY!

Dress it up! Most of the things we throw away can usually be used to make something new! What better way to re-use items than to fashion it into new clothes!

So get creative and design an entire outfit out of old or used items. A fashion show will be held at the Eco Film Festival on 17th October to show off your creation – so make sure you have a model ready and that your clothes can be worn!

1st Prize RM 1000*

2nd Prize RM 600*

3rd Prize RM 400*

*At least one person in the winning group must be a CIMB Islamic Ecosave Account holder to receive this amount. Groups who do not have an account holder within the group will only receive half the allocated prize money (i.e. 1st prize - RM 500, 2nd prize - RM 300, 3rd prize - RM 200).

All Entries MUST:
  • Be made out of USED recyclable items and/or old, reusable materials.
  • Be something practical that can be worn without falling apart.
  • Cover the main body areas. Acceptable combination include: a dress, skirt and blouse, pants/shorts and shirt/top. Other accessories like shoes, bags, ties etc. can be included but must also be made out of recycled items.
DOWNLOAD the Entry Submission Form

Entries will be judged based on:
  • Creativity/Originality
  • Practicality
  • Quality of Finishing
  • Adherence to theme
  • Use of old/reusable materials

Competition Rules
  1. Participants can be individuals or groups with a maximum of 3 people.
  2. Each entry must have a fully completed Entry Submission form attached to it.
  3. ONE entry per person or group.
  4. Participants must be present at the judging and prize-giving ceremony on 17th October 2010 at Green Rooms, Eco Film Festival 2010.

Entries that do not adhere to these rules will be instantly disqualified.

NOTES / TIPS:
  • It may be argued that old or used clothes are considered re-using materials. It definitely is. But it is advisable to get a little bit more creative and use unconventional materials like used plastic bottles, box drink cartons, old newspapers etc. It should be as 'natural' and creative as possible and yet practical.
  • Things like glue, thread etc. can obviously be used to put together the garment, but obviously if you can find a better way to put it together without using new materials that would be a bonus.

What are you waiting for? Use your thrash to make some serious money and most importantly, your fashion statement!

Style, is yours.

This is what we call STYLE. It has all the varieties and versatility to go on different time of different days.

I'm aware that only a very few of us can afford to buy different things for each occasion, but don't get yourself confused, fashion is merely temporary, but if you can find your own style, and that includes finding the right fit, material, color and so on, that's more rewarding..

Be all that you can be. Be your own stylist.

Why Aren't You In Khakis?

Actually, I am in khakis now. I personally think khakis is just as important as denim jeans, work pants, corduroy, if not more. I find it very comfortable to wear with either buttoned-up shirt, polo tee, t-shirt or even a singlet.

Speaking of khakis, let's be honest: What is the first brand you recognise when you hear the word KHAKIS?

Dockers®.

Right.

So why aren't you in khakis?

I'll give you ONE good, no, better-than-good reason to wear Dockers® Khakis.

Dockers® is currently running "Why Aren't You In Khakis?" contest. What do you have to do?

Very simple:
  1. Just walk into any Dockers® stores or counters
  2. Select your favourite pieces of Dockers® Khakis and tops
  3. Try them
  4. Just try
  5. Get the store assistant to snap your picture
Just that? Then what happen?

Dockers® will select THREE Most Stylish contestants and will receive one of these following man toys: an HTC Legend mobile phone, XBox 360 or a digital camera. Oh and of course, Dockers® products. Who would miss that?

So not only you can try out for FREE, you get to be a model for one minute (or a few) and if you're stylo enough, you might stand a chance to own one of those fun gadgets! At least Mr. Bobek A Ramualdo, Dockers® Brand Director for ASEAN agrees with me.

Let's see, why khakis?

You can wear them anywhere; to work, college classes, travel, wild night out with the shenanigans, or even to meet you soon-to-be father-in-law. More over, Dockers® Khakis are 100% cotton twill, water repellent, wrinkle resistance, comes in various colors and never go out of style.

Need more reasons?

You can choose from slim cut to straight cut to classic cut, pleated or non-pleated. See you have more than enough reasons, not to mention various choices of tops, and just be creative.

The contest has already started though, from August 19, 2010 until September 5, 2010 at all Dockers® stores and counters nationwide.

Remember, you might just be one of the most stylish person for Dockers® and get yourselves a Hari Raya gift!

Burberry Prorsum FW10 Military Denim Shirt

This is just a well crafted, fine piece from Burberry Prorsum Fall/Winter 2010 Collection. The shirt looks like any other denim shirt, but just look at it when you pair it with a dark navy blue suit below:

Just look at the proportion.

What am I waiting for?!

Memories: One-Legged Sado-Fashionist

I had a terrible accident almost four years ago.

Shattered my left tibia, among broken nose and other injuries.

My Bathing Ape x Marvel Comics "Silver Surfer" tee was covered with blood from that accident. Tried to wash it out but never perfectly cleaned so I threw it away.

Did it stop me from going out, have fun and wear something nice? Not a chance.

If you are sick, be sure to be sick in style.

Fucking Awesome's fucking awesome hoodie

You can't see actually I was sitting on an wheeled office chair, in an elevator. I still had my fibre cast on my left leg. This picture was taken on Christmas Eve 2006 in Penang. I was totally wasted and couldn't walk AT ALL.

And lastly at the Nike Air Force 1's 25th Anniversary back in 2007.

Rock you don't stop.

Weekender: Pink Puma & Pink Robot.

I'm sure many guys think pink is a dangerous colour for them to wear. They think it is associated with something un-manly. I don't know about that though, I think if you know what you're wearing, you'll nail it. Plus, don't get too discouraged by what other guys think.

Couple of weekends ago.
